It's pretty slick. There's no catch (as some predicted there might be). In fact, you don't even have to register...I just downloaded a list of foundation prospects into excel.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31131263.post-57570494114130560302007-09-07T17:35:00.000-04:002007-09-07T17:35:00.000-04:00did they?did they?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31131263.post-89080018122846923962007-09-06T17:58:00.000-04:002007-09-06T17:58:00.000-04:00Thanks for the tip. Am reminded how online classified ads have all but replaced print ads, resulting in reduced revenues for newspapers, resulting in wholesale layoffs of journalists all across the country, etc., etc.

Likewise if the Foundation Center has its subscription revenue base drastically cut, because of new competition, would it still be able to provide free fundraising training, trained librarians and resource rooms across the country?

Or perhaps the effect will be more democratic access to donor research? Today Amazon can practically provide anyone with an Internet connection in the world any book currently in circulation (and a few that aren't). What would be the impact if donor research currently available to only a few well staffed and funded nonprofits, was available to every NGO around the globe? How would that change the way we fundraise?

Don't know. Only time will tell.Gaylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01765159653470821033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31131263.post-34503844377683732632007-09-06T16:50:00.000-04:002007-09-06T16:50:00.000-04:00The Annual CARA Conference :Solving the Puzzle: Pr...The Annual CARA Conference :
Solving the Puzzle: Prospect Research-Basics to Best Practices
The Westin South Coast Plaza
Costa Mesa, California
September 6 and 7, 2007

http://www.caresearchers.org/CARA_Conference_2007.asp"a fundraiser"https://www.blogger.com/profile/14336814687687466381noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31131263.post-30013018083050620112007-09-06T16:49:00.000-04:002007-09-06T16:49:00.000-04:00What the hell is the CARA Conference? What the hell is the CARA Conference?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31131263.post-12511276308987060412007-09-06T15:07:00.000-04:002007-09-06T15:07:00.000-04:00There has to be some sort of catch "fundraiser."
